i can never sleep...i am always so tired during the day but the second i lay down, i am wide awake! Same here! And I have a horrible schedule. Like on Thursday and Friday I have to be at my clinicals in the hospital by 6:30am. Yeah, it doesn't help that the hospital is an hour away. I pretty much have to leave my place by 5:15ish. And I typically don't go to bed till sometime after 1. I am bad bad student when it comes to sleep. ♥

I am currently in my 3rd semester, I have two more to go and I will have my BSN! WOO WOO! I can't wait. It's fun but draining. And sometimes you feel good and sometimes you want to pull your hair out. And it really depends on how great your teachers are... I have had some good ones and some bad ones. Pharmacology = hell (but in a good, weird way, it is really awesome). You have a whole new sense of attitude and outlook on life. The little things just aren't worth the fuss anymore once you see what other people have to deal with. My biggest thing is you pretty much watch your social life diminish until after you graduate. But, you have to make time for yourself (of course you have to do that with any major or you will get super bogged down). And watch your sleep schedule disappear. For example this is my current week: Monday:Class from 8-12 Class from 1:15-5 (these are subject to get out early...but that varies) Tuesday:Mental Health Clinical Rotation 8-1 Work from 7-midnight (I work in one of the computer labs on campus, so not like it is a strenuous job to work, I pretty much get paid to study). Wednesday:Mental Health Clinical Rotation 8-3:30 (I had to do my rotation at a place that was an hour a way in a rural clinic... so I had to leave by 6:30) Work from 7-midnight Thursday:Adult Health Clinical Rotation 6:30-2:30 (yes, that is 6:30 in the morning. And we switch out hospitals all the time, instead of being one of the lucky ones to get a hospital in town, I am stuck in the one that is an hour away. So, I have to leave my place no later than 5:15...ouch!) Work from 7-midnight Friday:Adult Health Clinical Rotation 6:30-2:30 Reading this looks really bad, but it actually isn't. I am so using to having the Nursing School control my life and I am pretty positive I sold my soul to them. HAHAHA, ok, its really not that bad. It is a lot of work though, but it in the end, I am glad I am doing it. Hope I didn't scare you too much! ♥

Of course you can! Just stay focused, believe, and have patience! Go in with a positive attitude and you can conquer anything! And definitely don't forget to take time for yourself to do something fun every week! HAHA... I sound like a motivational speaker! =) ♥

So I re-scheduled my lab practical for today...and I just don't think my heart is in this degree any more. I have been going for a year for Recording Arts...I wish I could just find something I loved and get through it already. UGH!

I think everyone hates their degree at least at some point. Maybe stick it out just a little longer and see if things get better. I was ready to throw in the towel with Nursing, and I held out and it definitely has gotten better. But, whatever you decide to do, I hope it works out for you! ♥
