um ok. so i bought the 80gb classic yesterday and so far it going ok, i just have one problem. it wont let me transfer all the music that came from CD's i loaded. i cant figure it out. a friend told me to drag and drop it in and it looks like its going to do it but it then gives me an error saying that it cant convert them to the appropriate format and that i should insert the CD's. problem is, i usually lose all my cd's. heh. help?

ummm.... when you plug your iPod in is there an options box, check to make sure that it is accepting CDs. Like make sure that box is checked.

Other than that, I am not sure. If I was at home on my computer, I would probably be able to give you more info. You might could go to apple.com and see if they can be of any help.

I've been putting songs onto my moms iPod but because her music sucks I always delete them from my library as soon as they are on hers. Well yesterday I plugged hers back in to give her a new song and my computer deleted the songs already on her iPod because they weren't in my library. So I had to buy the stupid songs again.

i just put all my cd's into my computer again. it was a waste of my life.

apple is weird like that sometimes. like i know that if you plug your iPod into a different computer, you can't take any of the original music off the iPod. essentially like an anti-stealing music movement...haha.

i know there's special software to get around that though..

Doggone Apple bastards. I should have known the computer genius' would have come up with some way to stop us from going all Napster again.

it's smart on their part, but then i guess they should have thought about the fact that people would make software to work around it...haha.
