last year on their chat, they obviously said they would date a fan. cause come on, they have to say yes. totally understand if they didn't wanna date a fan but who doesn't know who they are by now?

Wouldn't anyone who liked their music be a fan? Why would you want to date someone who didn't like you're music. You can't tell me Selena is not a fan of their music...thus, she is a fan.

I saw that quote and was a little perplexed. Unless he's trying to say he'd like to date someone who allows him to just kind of get away from it all sometimes, and sees him as an equal and not a superstar. But yeah, it's going to be pretty much impossible for the person to not be a fan, or at least to not become a fan once they see the band perform. I'll be interested to see if he comments on this further in future interviews.

Maybe, they were just referring to fanatic fans. Because obviously why would they want to be with someone that doesn't like what they do or the music they make? If someone is just a fan of the music it's completely different than someone who has "OJD".

My daughter, who has 2 years worth of magazines with Jonas stuff in it (ahem), had an article that contained this quote from Kevin, among other things. His point basically was that he wants to date someone who can be chill about his schedule and realizes that relationships take time - it talks about how he hates people who come on strong and are immediately, "OMG, I love you!".
I think in a nutshell he just wants someone who will treat him like Kevin, not like KEVINJONASOFTHEJONASBROTHERS, but I could be off base. My prediction on this is in the next few weeks, we'll get some backtracking on this, explaining what he meant because this statement is freaking out the teenies.
There is also an article which hit today, which claims Disney execs aren't happy with all the dating rumors. It could be a load of hogwash but it will be interesting to follow.

There is obviously a big difference between certain fans. Their mother is a fan but that doesnt put her on the same level as the screaming 12yr old who insanely want to know what their favorite color is. Liking their music and liking them because they are hott are 2 different things.

he's dating Danielle anyways so not like it really matters, none of them are single anyways but that does kinda seem weird that kevin of all of them would say that about dating a fan because normally he is so loving about the fans.

Ugh! I hate when links and sites are way too long or take too long. I guess, like Eliz said all we can do is wait and see how this pans out. Is it bad of me, I really want to see how the teenies are reacting. But I feel if I go in there, I might never come out alive!

Hey everyone!
Thank you for all the questions. We were hoping to hear from a lot of our fans when we put out the blog inviting fans to ask us anything. We were not prepared for all of the responses. It is by far the biggest blog we have ever had. Now we are going to start answering some of the questions.
We have really enjoyed reading them. There seem to be 2 questions that are asked more than others. We thought we would start with those questions.
1. Dating
2. Touring
DATING:
There are so many questions about our dating, who we date, etc. We will try to answer some of the questions about dating in one response.
Would you ever date a fan? OR Have you ever dated someone who is not famous?
The answer is YES. We have already dated fans or girls that are not celebrities. In fact, we really like to believe that the girl we will spend our lives with will be our biggest "fan."
Are you dating OR have you dated BLANK (fill in the name)?
It is our rule to not talk about our personal lives, especially who we are dating. The same would be true if we were dating you.
TOURING:
When is your next tour?
Our next tour will be NEXT SUMMER. We are starting our TV show next week and will be busy with the show until then. We will be going out for special performances throughout the year. Hopefully we can make it to your area but we will not be out on an official tour until June or July.
The tour next year will be our first World Tour. We want to visit some of the areas where our music has done well, for example Latin and South America, Europe again, Asia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
What made you pick Toronto for the start of the Burnin' Up Tour?
There were 2 reasons for picking Toronto to start the Burnin' Up tour. The first reason was that the US was celebrating July 4th and all the venues were too busy. The second (and most important reason) was that we wanted to do something for all of the fans in Canada who took our CD to Gold!
