I am very iffy about how I feel about Jennier Lopez, but I absolutely LOVE her in this movie. I've seen it a million times, naturally, but no matter how many times I see it, I always cry. I don't think I'll ever be able to hear "I could fall in love" without getting sad. RIP Selena   |

In high school, the spanish classes watched that movie every year! Sadly, I took French, but yes, it's a great movie.

True that. I loved Maid in Manhattan. SO cute!!
Watching movies in class was my favorite thing ever, because I'd usually sleep...unless it was a good movie. Selena would have been an exception.

Okay so, you know how in the movie Selena and Chris go and get married without anyone knowing?? Well, how much of that movie was based on actual events? Because I found this...  And that to me, looks like they had an actual wedding? |

Selena died when I was in the 6th grade. I remember this chick I used to hang out with had that People that was devoted just to her. I don't like Jennifer alot either, I think she gives marriage a bad name; but she was definitely really good in this movie. If she had taken a different route after this one she could have been a serious actress who could win Oscars and Golden Globes. But I don't dislike her for instead choosing to be a star.
The wedding events always messed with me as well, I had this book of Selena and it had a bigger picture of their wedding photo; I think the writers just put that in for drama. Something I always liked about Selena was that she wasn't a stick figure; that girl was really curvy. And if people think Jennifer has a big butt they surely never saw Selena. She was so pretty and had a great smile.
