Maya and Nick have been best friends basically since the Jonas family moved to New Jersey. Maya's mom was Nick's drama team coach at their church and the Kibbels became good friends of the entire family. After Maya's dad died, the Jonases were a really big support for Maya and her mom. So, they've just kind of taken Maya along with them. This way Maya gets to experience sooo many things she never would have. And she has a really strong support system in the Jonas family. Plus, Maya's mom is actually with them pretty often. Not 100% of the time, but she does travel with them from time to time. I thought it was a little strange at first, but after seeing her with them, she is completely just like another member of their family.

Yep - I know I spied her during the Living the Dream indoor skydiving bit. Hopefully she's keeping a good scrapbook of some of the cool things she gets to do.  |
