At the interview with StarTwo the day after the premiere, I ask the boys if telling the world of their pledge to stay celibate would be such a good idea as the media would then be watching like hawks for a slip-up (hello, Britney!). Nick suddenly clams up and replies coldly: “We are here to talk about Camp Rock only.”

However, when the same question is posed to Kevin Sr, who was once a minister in a church in New Jersey, he is more forthcoming than his popular son.

“It was a personal decision they made when they were 12. I respect it but it was made at 12. Whether or not the media will scrutinise them, they have made a quality decision that I will applaud. Whether it lasts a week, or till they are married, it is a good reminder that values are good and worth holding on to.”

I think the guys are just sick of the entire topic because people have so ridiculed them and snarked about how they weren't going to wait. It's a shame that such a positive pledge was actually used against them in most of the media. I like Mr. Jonas's quote. They have such amazingly good and supportive parents.

Agreed! I honestly think that is the most personal question asked. And I think they are just sick of getting the same question asked or being under scrunity of the media. They said their peace with it and they want to leave it at that (but obviously, that doesn't happen in Hollywood). I thought Mr. Jonas' answer was very appropriate. And I think he knows deep down his boys will make the right decision. And if they do choose to have sex before marriage, it is their choice and I think Mr. And Mrs. Jonas, whether they may like it or not, will respect the decision (as long as they aren't off throwing their life away, which I can't see them doing that). Sorry, that is just my 2 cents of the matter! =)
