joe looked like he was ready to jump out of his seat to shake her hand when she got up to accept the award for best pop video.
i'm really sad they didn't win

i was on my dinner break from massive loads of reading and i coincidently caught jb's performance. how perfect. lol. i thought they should have done 'burning up' cause it's more upbeat. the end when everyone was running was really cool. kinda like the AMA's.

Im so happy Britney won but I think her winning 3 for a video that wasnt very good just looked like pity or a setup. I will say Im happy Miley didnt win.

I am still irate at the constant purity ring jokes by that complete loser of a host. I will never waste my time on that show again. I'm sure hoping they're proud of themselves. I'm sure it felt great for the Jonas Brothers to sit there and hear it time and time again, with their families, fans, girlfriends, etc., in attendance, and Joe's face during the "apology" broke my heart. MTV is a piece of cr*p, and I'm old enough to remember it when it was GOOD.

I was very disappointed in the VMAs, especially the host. I was expecting some jokes about their purity rings and whatnot so I was ready for some jokes, but Russell Brand took it way too far. Mad props to Jordin Sparks for what she said. I'm sure the guys really appreciated her sticking up for them!

Sadly, I was really looking forward to Russell Brand hosting the VMAs, because I loved him in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'. How much crack did he snort before he went on stage? Did anybody else think that over 75% of his jokes were towards the Jonas Brothers? I knew he would talk about them, but seriously, can't find anything else Russell Brand? He looked like that awkward comedian that gets on stage for the first time and can't think of any jokes so he keeps saying the same one over and over. And half the time I couldn't even tell what he was saying because he was speaking SOOO fast. I think MTV is falling apart. Good luck recovering...

I'm still annoyed every time I think about this. I'm with you, Cara and Kristi. One crack would be OK - still tacky but I'm sure they'd survive - but just to bring it up again and again. And what a great message for the kids and young teens that tuned in, I say snarkily. I'm sure Kevin Sr. had a talk with them afterwards and I'm sure they understand they are targets, but to have to sit there in front of a lot of people I'm sure they respect and have to listen to that? It was completely disrespectful. I guess I'm just really protective of them. I felt bad for them.

I loved the host and I think he should host more award shows. He was funny and a breath of fresh air. He's European and not constrained by American PC chains. And although I love The Jonas Brothers they will not be winning andy Grammy's.
